My apologies if this comes off a bit rude, but I'm just trying to do what I can to help everyone here. It seems like every weekend, I get flooded with PM's from people asking how to get '____ service working Kodi'. Literally, like clockwork.

In this post I'm going to try to address some of those concerns, and show you how YOU can get your kodi work. But first, my disclaimer. Where KODI Fails: KODI DOES NOT SUPPORT IPTV. KODI DOES NOT SUPPORT VIDEOS ON DEMAND. KODI DOES NOT SUPPORT TIMESHIFTING. KODI EPG DOES NOT WORK ON ALL BUILDS/SYSTEMS.

What Kodi DOES do: Kodi will stream IPTV Channels, such as those offered by IPguys. Kodi EPG works out of the box on Windows. Kodi will only connect to a stalker supported server such as IPguys through the use of a beta addon. This addon is buggy, and very limited. If you configure it correctly, it will at least let you watch tv. Please follow this video TO THE 'T' (PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE MAC ADDRESS at the:18 seconds mark n the video) It is recommended you configure the stalker PVR addon in advance to paying your reseller.

That way, if a problem comes up, you'll know in advance, saving you potentially lost money or having the request a refund. MAC INFO: A mac address is basically a form of a serial number, that the reseller will use to activate your device. You must configure one within the Stalker PVR addon to receive service, and this must be UNIQUE. There are 2 options, you may create your own MAC address (00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX), or you may let your reseller know that you will be using in Kodi in advance, and request they provide you with one (thank you for this advice). To generate a random MAC address automatically, please click here: It doesn't matter if youre on a firestick, shield, other android box, THIS MAC ADDRESS HAS TO BE IN THIS FORMAT.

Anything else will be rejected. The mac address has to come from the stalker addon itself, NOT your networking device. If you can't find your stalker mac address, I highly recommend paying the $80 and buying a box such as a mag254 that will work as soon as you plug it in, with very little tampering needed. I hope this helps some of you out. Feel free to upvote this so we can try to get it stickied:) If I missed anything, please let me know in the comments and I will update this post.

Need to change Settings -> TV -> Guide, Expert Settings on the bottom left, THEN you can change to EPG 1 day instead of 3 days and it should work. I've been trying everything and somehow can't get my EPG working.

I've Fresh Started my Kodi a few times now. Followed instructions to a T. The channels work, but the EPG doesn't load. It shows 'Importing Guide from Clients / Zee TV' at the top for a bit, and then on the bottom 'Stalker Client unable to load Guide'. Tried resetting cache and everything. EDIT: Stalker Client is 1.0.8 version. I'm not sure about your specific error, but as mentioned in the original post EPG on non windows devices do not work out of the box with Stalker middleware based iptv servers.

That said, I know there are tweaks some people have used to get it working. I've heard some people change the epg settings to 1 day instead of 7 helped. Free stb emulator mac address. Additionally, for those people that are using kodi on Linux or Mac, I've been told the new nightly kodi builds address this issue and epg works fine. But since the stalker standard does not support kodi at this time (and likely never will), I highly recommend people spend the $80 for a proper iptv environment if stability and features are desired. I feel like the kodi people are paying the same price of service, but you're really missing out on all the video on demand that contain hundreds of network tv shows and complete seasons, movies, and timeshifting. All these features you're already paying for, why not use a supported box?
