Somehow I managed to solve the problem. Tried many things but in the end I have deleted from Library/Plugins the Java applet plugin.plugin file, deleted also divx.plugin and flash player plugin. In Library/Oracle deleted everything about Java. In Library/Application support/Mozilla/Extencions deleted everything.

Then reinstalled Java. Reopened Firefox. It was all there:-) I don't know exactly which of the above helped, but it seemed that somehow extensions (plugins) in Firefox were bad - old or something else.
