Assuming you are duplexing, you will need to change a setting in your printer's Properties to change the way the paper is 'flipped.' For portrait documents, duplexing flips on the long edge; for landscape ones, such as your booklet, they need to be flipped on the short edge. The wording for the option in the Properties for your specific printer may vary (mine has a check box for 'Flip pages up'), but there will be a setting.

Excel For Mac Pagenation Changed

Microsoft MVP (Word) since 1999 Fairhope, Alabama USA http://ssbarnhill.com. You are right, but the weird thing is I have been using the same settings for years, and all of a sudden documents that had been printing fine were just printing with half the pages flipped, even though I had not changed the printer settings. I called Canon, and their tech confirmed that it wasn't a printer issue. Here is what solved it: I reset my computer system to an earlier date, and the very document that had been printing with half the pages upside down printed just fine. I think there is a glitch in the Word program. By the way, I have both an old PC with XP on it, and a Mac with office for Mac 2008. That program doesn't have imposition software, so every time I need to print a booklet I end up transferring the document to the PC first, just so I can print it.

I know it is totally weird, but Word does handle the imposition (automatic reordering of pages so they read sequentially once the book is folded), and then I just tell the printer to print double sided, with binding on the short edge. Since I didn't change the printer settings and the documents I wanted to print had previously printed just fine with these settings, it has to be a mysterious Word glitch that got into the program lately, and when I reset the computer to an earlier date it disappeared. That's the only possible explanation I can think of.
