There is legitimately not a week that goes by that at least one person has a corrupted identity, Rebuilding the identity is generally an issue in and of itself, with running out of space, and random archived emails going missing (even though spotlight can find them). So my question is, for any of you that may have deployed Office for Mac 2016, is it actually any more functional/stable than 2011?

Bonus Question: Is offline archiving still tied to the identity? Higher ed support here.

As others have said, it's a night & day difference between 2011 and 2016. Aside from the snafu with El Capitan making all Office 2016 apps crash nonstop(Apple's fault, fixed with 10.11.1), Outlook 2016 has been absolutely rock solid. So much so that I actively went out to my clients on Macs and asked if I could upgrade them. I was tired of nonstop tickets for Outlook 2011 not syncing, syncing late, not pulling calendar items, crashing, corrupt identities, etc.

Unfortunately, some of the usual pitfalls still exist in 2016. Outlook still can't handle contact groups on an Exchange server(guess it's an EWS limitation?). Having subfolders under inbox, or 4000+ items under Inbox, will still make Outlook tank hard. (Not that this is a best practice anyway, but people do whatever the hell they want and expect it to work even against our advice) And the best part: the 2016 UI has been refreshed to be more in-line with the current Windows & iOS Office suites' look and feel, but all the menus are either in the same place as 2011, or right in front of you in the ribbon. So when I forcefully put clients on 2016 from 2011, I didn't have to reinvent the wheel and teach them where stuff is. They just rolled with it and got around easily.

I am facing an issue where my username automatically appears inside the body of an email I reply to or forward. Whenever I hit on the spacebar as the first character to start editing or answering within the quoted email message, my username will appear as [John] in the email message. Is there any way to turn this off? When answering in-line (meaning, within the original message text), Outlook has the option to mark these as comments.

Create a hyperlink to a document or an email address. You can add text or an object as a hyperlink that opens a specific slide in a PowerPoint presentation or a custom slide show. You can also link to a Word document, an Excel workbook, a file, or an email address. Select the text or object that you want to make into a hyperlink. Microsoft word for mac torrent. Hi, I just purchased Microsoft Word 2011 for Mac and am having issues with inserting hyperlinks. I know that it's as simple as highlighting the word, or words that you want to connect the link to, then going to 'insert,' then 'hyperlink,' then filling in the bar at the top with the website URL. I have been creating hyperlinks in Word -- both links to external web pages and links to anchors within the file -- for years, so I'm not sure what's going wrong here in my new Office 2011 for Mac.
